We started with a question
nobody was asking.
What happens to your skin in the hour after you train — and why does no one talk about it?
We met over training and stayed over skincare. Roo has worked in natural cosmetics for years. Tay is the one who reads every label twice.
Between us we have tried almost everything on the shelf, in four countries, over more years than we would like to count. Almost none of it was made for a body that had just finished working.
So we made the thing we could not buy.
A studio is not
a clean place.
It is a warm room with shared surfaces, and we love it. But it is honest to say what it is. Mats that hold yesterday. Handles that hold everyone. A face touched without thinking, thirty times an hour, by hands that have been on all of it.
Then heat, and friction — and skin that quietly gives up a little each week.
Everything is written about the cream.
Nothing about what comes first.
A serum on unclean skin is a serum on unclean skin. A cream that seals will seal whatever is under it. Cleansing is the least glamorous step in the routine, which is exactly why nobody puts it on a bottle. We decided to start there anyway.
Almost everything skin needs
already grows in the ground.
That sounds like a slogan. It is closer to a purchasing decision.
Roo spent years watching women in other countries look after their skin with a handful of plants and no marketing at all — and get results our bathroom shelf never gave us. The best material for skin is grown, pressed and used quickly. Everything after that is packaging.
So we buy botanicals cold-pressed, at the percentage that does the work, and print every one of them on the page. No proprietary blends. Nothing withheld.
Three and a half years
to make three things.
We wrote down what we wanted and could not find a formulator who thought it was interesting. Eventually we found one: a botanical group with thirty-five years behind them, who told us honestly which of our ideas were wrong.
Then samples. Then better samples. Then a version of the face wash we finally used every day without thinking about it.
It was slow, and it cost more than the shortcut would have. It is also the whole reason the products are worth what they cost.
We know our formulas are good. We have used them on ourselves, every day, for longer than anyone else has.
What we can
actually show you.
Our formulas are produced in a facility independently audited and certified to Cosmetics Good Manufacturing Practice.
Every formula has been reviewed and signed off by a qualified cosmetic safety assessor.
Each of the three products holds its own separate regulatory registration.
The complete ingredient list is printed on every product page, in order, with nothing withheld.
Some of it is
what isn’t there.
Leaving things out is more expensive than putting them in. Synthetic fragrance is cheap and covers a multitude of sins; silicone makes any cream feel luxurious for ten minutes. We would rather you felt the actual material.
Three formulas.
There is no fourth.
Each one is concentrated, not diluted. A small amount on each area is the full dose — which is why a 3.4 fl oz bottle lasts far longer than the size suggests.
Thirty days sealed. Fourteen days opened and used, refunded in full — you do not have to justify anything. Return shipping is on us either way, and shipping to you is free on every US order.
You are already doing
the hard half.
Beyond the bottles, we share what we have picked up along the way — how we train, how we eat, and a way of living with a lot less noise in it.
